The Parent-Preneur Course
If you have a hobby, interest or talent that you are passionate about turning into a “side hustle” to supplement your income, or into something that makes you a good living, then this is the course for you!
I started in business as a young adult and in the midst of a recession I managed to build and establish a business that has complimented my ever-changing lifestyle. Today I’m a wife and mother of 2, running two businesses and mentoring others. I have been able to live abroad, raise my children and take up other opportunities because of the flexibility that running my business provides.
The journey has been by no means easy, but let me be honest; building a business is definitely one of the best decisions I have made to date. I have had the experiences of having my products featured in press, selling out with a major online retailer, being stocked in shops and boutiques in and outside of London, holding motivational sessions for other start-up hopefuls and being able to provide opportunities for others, to name just a few.
I detail lessons learnt in the course, along with the following:
- The importance of planning – including a planning strategy
- Understanding the basics of profit and loss – with various scenarios
- Good business practice and it’s effect on profit!
- Developing selling confidence
- How to market your product or service
- The importance and positive impacts of thinking outside the box
- Dealing with rejection
- …And much more!
Throughout this course I draw on the good, the bad and the ugly (and tearful) of my own startup experiences as detailed in my eBook “Starting From the Bottom Up” which can be found here
You will also receive a free copy of the eBook with this course.
The course consists of lessons, quizzes, exercises, PowerPoint presentations and challenges, making for an interesting and insightful learning experience for students.
This course does not come with a formal qualification – but true qualification in business is in your ability to put what you are learning into action and to make things happen. This course will hopefully motivate you to do just that!
Once enrolled, students will have up to 20 weeks to complete the course.
