Spotlight on our creative after school clubs
Being able to physically produce something that you imagined is a big confidence booster for children, and adults!
Often children see the techniques and start out with “I can’t do it, it looks really difficult” They are often pleasantly surprised when they realise that in fact they can do it! These workshops can help to increase some children’s learning confidence in other subjects as well as bringing out their creativity. Workshops also ignite children’s interests and helps to achieve personal and social development.
Our Fashion Club kids are on trend in this season, making their very own animal print and tartan hair accessories at Queenswell and Cardwell Primary schools.
Check out these fabulous felt statement necklaces in the making by children from our Jewellery Clubs at Grange and Blessed Sacrament Primary Schools. At Forge Lane primary the children hand decorated plain, wooden beads and made their own bracelets and earrings galore at Park walk Primary 🙂
The children at Honeywell learn to make their own shortcrust pastry for jam tarts!
Fabulous coin purses and beanie hats!
And finally to finish this term and in the build-up to Christmas, the kids in fashion have been making festive broaches & the kids in jewellery have been working on a secret Santa project where they design and create a jewellery set for the person whose name they picked out of a hat! Oh it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
